Distributor management software for Consumer Brands
A distributor management system (DMS) links a brand to its distributors, with orders, billing, stock, schemes and claims in one place.
Mobile, desktop or hybrid, to suit each distributor

Primary orders and secondary sales in one view

Works with the billing software distributors already run

⊢Trusted by leading brands to run their distribution⊣

A DMS only works if distributors use it
Distributor management software has two users. The brand wants to see stock levels, secondary sales and dues across its distribution network. The distributor wants to bill retailers, collect cash and get claims paid. Many systems serve only the brand and give the distributor more typing, so the data arrives late, full of errors, or not at all.
BeatRoute starts on the distributor's side. Ordering, billing and claims take less work inside the DMS than outside it, so clean secondary sales data follows. Ask any distributor management software on your shortlist these four questions:

What does a distributor gain from it each day, such as faster billing, quicker claims or easier ordering, even on a weak connection?

Does it show secondary sales as distributors bill retailers, or only what you shipped to them?

Can you trace every scheme and claim, by ID, through to settlement?

Does it work with the billing software distributors already run, and with your ERP? Multi-brand distributors will not switch for one brand.
If a system fails the first question, the rest will not matter, because distributors stop opening it once they get busy.
What distributor management software has to do
Set the network and its terms
Prices, schemes, stock norms and credit rules for each distributor, in line with your ERP.

Bring a distributor online without paperwork
Distributors sign up themselves, or your sales team does it for them

Load each distributor's prices and schemes
Each distributor's price list and schemes come from your ERP, so every order bills on the right terms

Raise the primary order before stock runs short
Set minimum and maximum stock levels for each distributor, and the purchase order raises itself
Run primary and secondary through it
Order management, billing, collections and claims.

Get the next primary order recommended
The Order AI Agent proposes each distributor's next order from its stock and sales, and shows the schemes it can still hit

Bill retailers with the scheme already applied
Secondary invoices apply schemes and discounts on their own, and reach you as they are billed

Tie every payment to the invoice it clears
Cash, cheque and digital payments link straight to the open invoice

Settle claims and returns from one record
Each claim or return carries an ID, its proof and a status through to settlement
Find the gap before it costs a month
Managers and reps see the same numbers, updated as distributors bill.

See where distribution is slipping
Drill from network to zone to one distributor's stock, dues, credit used and claim time

Get an alert when one slips
BeatRoute Copilot flags the slip, so the manager can act before the monthly review

AAVA Brands grew store-level sellouts 25–30% with BeatRoute

Frequently Asked Questions
What is distributor management system software?
Distributor management system software (DMS) links a brand to the distributors and wholesalers who sell its goods to stores. For each distributor, it tracks what it buys from the brand (primary sales), what it bills to stores (secondary sales), its inventory levels and what it owes. It runs the order processing in between: purchase orders, invoices, schemes, returns, collections and claims. Distribution management software can also mean a company's own distribution operations: warehouses, order fulfillment and supply chain. A DMS covers what comes after: the stock that sits with your distributors and what they sell to stores. A distributor buying distribution software for its own business needs less: billing, accounts and inventory management for one warehouse. A DMS gives the brand near real-time visibility across the network, so stock-outs show up while there is still time to act. Read our complete guide to distribution management systems.
Does BeatRoute DMS have a distributor app?
Yes. Distributors with no back office use the BeatRoute distributor app to:
- take orders from your sales team and retailers
- bill retailers with schemes already applied
- track stock and deliveries
- collect outstanding payments against open invoices
You see secondary sales as they are billed, by distributor, store, SKU and day.
How should we test a DMS before rolling it out to every distributor?
Run a pilot with three distributors:
- one large and well organised
- one small with no back office
- one multi-brand distributor that bills from its own software
Run real orders, invoices and claims, and check how fast secondary sales reach you. Then ask the distributors if it saved them time. If it did, the wider rollout is mostly training. If not, no mandate will fix it.
How much does distributor management software cost, and is there a free trial?
BeatRoute is subscription software, priced per user and module on annual contracts, with no free trial. See pricing for how plans are built, or request a demo for a quote sized to your network.
Does the DMS cover inventory management, batch and expiry?
Yes. Distributors manage inventory in BeatRoute: goods received, stock on hand, ageing, returns and transfers. Inventory tracking is by batch and expiry date, so near-expiry stock shows while it can still be sold or returned. Van stock and cash from the van sales app reconcile in the same record daily.
