AAHAR 2024: Crowded trade show booth with Makino snacks display.

AAHAR, the International Food & Hospitality Fair, is a highly anticipated event that serves as a premier platform for professionals within the food and hospitality industry to showcase their products and services. Exhibitors eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with potential customers and foster new business relationships. Participating in AAHAR also provides brands with invaluable opportunities to stay abreast of industry trends and innovations. AAHAR 2024, the latest edition, was held from 7th to 11th March 2024 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India.

Why Do We Think AAHAR Stands Out?

AAHAR offers a conducive environment where industry peers and professionals from diverse sectors within food and hospitality come together in one place to both network and collaborate, gaining valuable insights as a result. Ideas are exchanged, professional networks expanded, and potential partnerships explored that would otherwise not be possible at this scale, ease, and efficacy.

In recent years, AAHAR has cemented its status as the premier destination for global vendors and sourcing professionals in the food and hospitality industry. With its renown for excellent exposure and unparalleled networking opportunities, AAHAR successfully draws brands from various sectors including the hotel industry, restaurants, catering institutions, importers, buyers, and distributors.

This year, there was already some anticipation that AAHAR 2024 would not only facilitate business growth but also contribute to the overall advancement of the industry. By providing a platform for knowledge exchange, product showcasing, and networking, AAHAR plays a vital role in promoting excellence within the sector. Notably, senior management and leaders, such as CEOs, Managing Directors, and Directors, comprise a significant portion of the event’s diverse visitor base.

AAHAR doesn’t seem to be slowing down and we expect it to keep evolving every year and expanding its reach. With its unique position at the forefront of growth and innovation in the food and hospitality industry, its unparalleled blend of opportunities, and over 500 exhibitors,  AAHAR 2024 turned out to be a transformative event for all who were there.

What We Saw and Learnt At AAHAR 2024

AAHAR’24 proved to be a vibrant platform showcasing the latest innovations within India’s dynamic food and hospitality industry. For us, engaging in insightful conversations with both established brands and promising startups, including many of our valued customers, was the main highlight of the event. The palpable energy and ambition observed at AAHAR 2024 instilled a sense of optimism for the future trajectory of India’s food industry.

We were also able to meet a number of leading brands during our visit to AAHAR 2024. While this is hardly an exhaustive list, some of the brands we had the privilege to interact with were McCain Foods, Haldiram Snacks Pvt.Ltd., Wow! Momo, Hamdard Laboratories India (Food Division), Priyagold, Parag Milk Foods, and General Mills India.

Amidst the diverse array of participants, numerous emerging trends caught our attention. Strategies aimed at maximizing revenue per outlet through range expansion, as well as more segmented customer engagement approaches, were notably prevalent. We were also witness to a heightened emphasis on leveraging modern trade (MT) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels. Furthermore, a significant reimagining of business-to-business (B2B) engagement within the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) channel was on the horizon.

BeatRoute is uniquely positioned to assist brands in executing the above strategies. Leveraging our proprietary goal-driven sales enablement platform, we empower brands to navigate these evolving trends effectively.
